Mission/Avenues
Our mission is achieved via the following avenues; Education, Healthcare, and
Resources.
Education
Workshops on Financial Literacy
● Youth Empowered/ Community program
that provides guidance and resources for
youth drug prevention; as well as
counseling and strategies for youth in crisis
● Legal Advocacy (for underserved
residents)
Here is something to consider…
Economic, social, cultural and political factors work
together to make certain groups in society feel
marginalised. Marginalized groups are viewed with
hostility and deprived of opportunities that are
available to other communities. Help and Hope
Community Center serves as a viable resource to
marginalized individuals.

Healthcare
Workshops on Healthcare Literacy
● Annual Community Healthcare Event
● Mental Health First Aid (Mental Health
Education/Community Training)
● Healthcare Advocacy (for underserved
residents)
Here is something to consider…
Nationally and locally the gap in health status
between minority populations and Caucasian
populations has remained unchanged and in
some cases has widened. In Franklin County,
disparities exist by race for a variety of
community health measures, such as health
status, access to health care, and some health
risk behaviors.
Healthcare providers can play a significant role in
the reduction of racial and ethnic health and
health care disparity through the provision of
quality care that is culturally and linguistically
appropriate.

Resources
Partnerships/Collaborations (with
other community agencies to leverage
resources, and provide information
sessions).
● Youth Development Resources and
Support
Here is something to consider…
Leveraging community resources and local
partnerships supports high-quality
enrichment opportunities; therefore
broadening the experiences of
underserved communities.
